Had the Native Relations not been nearly destroyed,
Our waters would be clean, air fresh and clear and soil still smelling like rich earth.
My eyes are now sore, my voice weak, my ears deaf, my touch now cold.
The smell of a sore Earth gives way far too often to a thing called 'progress',
All from greed and all 'in the name of god'.
I wish people would quit hiding behind "god" for ill deeds to all our relations.
I get quite distressed over this lame excuse and am amazed at how many people buy the lie.
Ignorance is NOT bliss!
Nor is it an excuse!
These individules aren't necessarily so- called 'tree-huggers' or the like, but beautiful souls that cry
out at the very essense of life being destroyed to keep the balance of life.
Will we ever learn before it is too late? Does anyone care?
And what have you done today to keep things in balance?
Or, perhaps, you just figure someone else will do it.
After all, isn't this the American way?
